FK PARTIZAN BELGRADE CHOOSE AXESS FOR SMART AND SAFE STADIA ACCESS MANAGEMENT
FK Partizan has been a leading light in former Yugoslavian and today's Serbian football for over seventy years.The passion of the team’s derby encounters with its city rival Red Star is the stuff of legend. The club is now seeking to increase stadium security still further by deploying a new access system. The AX500 Smart Security Gate from Axess has been identified as the preferred solution because of the stability, design features and incomparable speed it is able to offer.
Football plays a highly important role in Serbian society. There is a strong fan culture, and major games grip the attention of the entire country. Derby matches also attract mass appeal, especially if no World Cup or European Championship happens to be taking place. Very much pre-eminent amongst these is the so-called “Večiti derbi” (“Eternal Derby”) between the two Belgrade-based clubs FK Partizan and Red Star. Tensions and emotions are always running high when such a traditional fixture is held, and a particular security concept is needed for fans and stadium operators alike. Stadium access is a highly sensitive area in this regard.
AX500 Smart Security Gate convinced the operator
FK Partizan Belgrade was impressed by the AX500 Smart Security Gate and the stadia solution of the Austrian company Axess AG.
“In choosing Axess, we have made a conscious decision to opt for quality and security. Axess also offered us expert support in integrating the system into our stadium, and we are very happy with the outcome,” said Mr. Predrag Vujovic, Marketing Director of FK Partizan.
A total of 20 “double” gates were installed at the Partizana Stadium, meaning that 40 entrances are available simultaneously. Because the AX500 Smart Security Gate also boasts a rapid pass-through rate, large numbers of visitors can be processed quickly, reliably and safely. The gates feature a robust and vandal-proof design in weather-resistant aluminum that fulfills the very highest security standards as well as permitting free movement in both directions. Six Axess Smart Gates NG are being used to manage the stadium’s VIP and media areas.
System successfully commissioned in time for the first knockout round of the Europa League
The greatest challenge was to integrate the smart system into such a long-standing sporting venue. Axess assisted the club with the on-site networking and cabling of the end devices required. The main database solution installed was the Axess DATACENTER Appliance. This provides central linking of all points of entry as well as facilitating their inter-communication and activation. The “TickeLine” ticketing system – longterm partner of the Serbian football club – have also been successfully integrated into the Axess environment. The new access system was successfully launched on 15 February 2018 during Partizan’s last-32 Europa League tie with Viktoria Plzeň, a match which passed off without incident.
